Akshay Kumar’s “Rustom” Till Date Total Box Office Collection – Fails To Cross Airlift Lifetime Earnings


Akshay Kumar’s hit movie Rustom completed its 28 days today and still the movie is moving with some shows in multiplexes and is still creating profit for the makers. Rustom is an Indian crime thriller movie directed by Tinu Shah Desai and is produced by Neeraj Pandey with many co-producers. The film is starring Akshay Kumar, Ileana D’Cruz, Arjun Bajwa and Esha Gupta in the lead role. The film was released on 12th August 2016 and is true story based movie thus it made people watch it again and again.

The film showcased the real-life story of a Naval Officer named K.M. Nanavati. Film Rustom was made under a budget of around Rs. 50 Cr. and till date, the film has crossed a box office collection of more than Rs. 215 Cr. The story of the film is a unique one in which Akshay Kumar played the role of Naval Officer Rustom Pavri and Ileana D’Cruz played the role of his lady love named Cynthia. Cynthia married Pavri by moving against to his dad. Once Rustom was out for a trip and Cynthia made her extramarital affair with Pavri’s friend Vikram Makhija (Character played by Arjun Bajwa).


When Rustom came back he saw her wife Cynthia with Vikram and later Pavri was stuck in court cases with a blame of killing Vikram. The case made public to come on street and support Rustom. The story made everyone entertained and thus the movie kept a good earnings record from ten very first day of release.

Week 3 Collection:  Fri 1.29 cr, Sat 1.89 cr, Sun 2.09 cr, Mon 69 lacs, Tue 61 lacs, Wed 58 lacs, Thu 56 lacs. Total: ₹ 124.72 cr.

And with the completion of its 28 days the film covered around Rs. 128.60 Cr. as domestic box office collection.
