The movie is being directed and written by Manish Jha. The movie is starring Arshad Warsi, Aditi Rao Hydari, Boman Irani and Kayoze Irani. The movie is scheduled to release on 5 August 2016.

The Valmiki unions have been demanding ban on the movie for hurting their sentiments by insulting ‘Bhagwan Valmiki’.
The movie has led to a series of protests in Jalandhar city from the last one week.
This news has been confirmed that according to the consensus between the administration and Valmiki unions, a preview of the movie was arranged for the community at Big Cinemas at Viva College Mall in Jalandhar at 9 pm on Wednesday.
The statement has been given by the Valmiki leaders that “We have requested the filmmakers to delete some scenes that the Valmiki community members are raising objection over it, but the scenes are still in the movie. They have only muted the volume,” said .
Mandeep Singh said in a meeting which was held in Chandigarh on Wednesday, inspector general of police intelligence Gaurav Yadav had reportedly asked the members of Safai Mazdoor Federation to watch the movie first and decide if deleting the scenes will be enough. Else, they will ban its screening in the entire state.
Nearly 50 people of Valmiki community from the city attended the screening along with the officials and demanded the ban.
