When Indian and Pakistani troops are trading fire in both diplomatic fronts and the borders, Salman Khan’s “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” was released in India and worldwide on July 17, 2015.
The movie deals with Indo-Pak relations in some way released across 5000 screens across the world.
Of late the lackluster journey of Bollywood in the first half of 2015 has increased the expectations of the film. Only two films- “Tanu Weds Manu Returns” and “ABCD” of dance have crossed the Rs 100 crore mark, Expectations are very high for this Kabir Khan directorial venture.
The movie broke the records for the fastest 100 Crores by an Indian movie. It collected Friday Rs 27.25 cr, Sat 36.60 cr, Sun 38.75 cr. Total of Rs 102.60 crores.
The movie has been released with a U/A certificate a day before Eid. In the past also Salman starrers released on Eid has reaped gold. “Kick”, “Ek Tha Tiger”, “Bodyguard”, “Dabangg” and “Wanted” released on Eid and have been blockbusters.

Expectations are high for the film, and many distributors have predicted that the film could cross the Rs 300 crore mark.
The Pre-Booking of the film has been excellent. Bajrangi Bhaijaan will be released on more than 5000 screens across 50 nations which include US, Britain, Pakistan and Australia. The film also features Kareena Kapur and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in crucial roles.
The film details the trials and tribulation of a man discovering love on a journey from India to Pakistan as he takes a deaf and dumb girl back to her country.
Anticipation from the film has been huge, and the opening according to experts will be grand. The film is expected to outperform all Salman releases. Right from the day the teaser of the film has been released expectation has been mounting and has reached its zenith to the release date.

Eid and Salman is a lethal combination and a sure shot of success. Mumbai-based Rajesh Thadani feels that Bajrangi Bhaijaan will break Salman’s earlier records.
Currently, another Magnum opus, Bahubali is creating Box Office records. However, experts say that it will not have much impact on the fortunes of “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”.
Incidentally, the film has been penned by Rajamouli’s father KV Vijayendra Prasad, who also penned Bahu Bali “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” has opened to packed shows and rave reviews in the UAE.
The film was released on 16th July ahead of Id ul Fitr and has recorded more than 90% occupancy on its first day at the box office.
