Batman V. Superman box-office collection dropping; still maintains top spot

Zack Snyder’s new movie ‘Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice’, released on March 25, 2016 had a mammoth opening weekend collection.

Now, even with a steady decline of 68% in its Box Office revenue, the movie somehow managed to maintain its top spot in the second weekend as well.

The superhero flick has collected $52.4 million dollar over this weekend, and as of April 04, 2016, the film has grossed $261.5 million from theaters.

The Box Office journey of ‘Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice’ was not challenging this week, as it locked horns with small movies which include, ‘Gods Not Dead 2’ and ‘Meet The Blacks’.

The superhero movie which marked the intense battle between Superman and Batman was one of the most anticipated flicks of the year. But upon release, the film fetched mixed to negative reviews, and it was literally panned by critics.

In normal cases, Superhero movies used to collect mammoth collection in the first weekend, and the figures used to drop after that.

Batman V Superman – Audience Reaction (Spoilers)

But a depreciation of 60% is something shocking, and it clearly indicates that this movie will not make it big in the long run.

Last year, collection of Fantastic Four was dropped by 68.2 percent in the second week. In 2009, ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’s collection was depreciated by 69%.

Ben Affleck and Henry Caville has done the lead roles in this movie. Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg and Jason Momoa forms the supporting star cast in the flick.

As Disney’s ‘Jungle Book’ gets released on April 15, 2016, future of ‘Batman VS Superman’ is not that bright in Box Office.
