BMW is trying to uprise his design and looks while trying to keep the legendary match to all its cars. The legacy is quite changed in one of its latest upcoming model BMW 3 series sedan which has undergone a slight changes this year and it is time for the 3 Series GT to get a mid-life facelift.
This version is one of the most desiring and comfortable one in terms of size because it is a sedan car with couple of upgrades. The great design provides the rides practically with more of leg space in the rear and the hatchback boot lid will going to offer more and bigger storage solution. There are not very huge changes and they can be seen only by that person who is a aficionado of BMW to notice them.
The some of the changes are slightly redesigned headlamps console with a whole new LED daytime running light pattern and a whole new set of wheels. There is also a camera-based adaptive assist setup in the head lights with a full LED setup.
The 3 GT still continues to get the frameless door design and the rear boot lid mounted electronic spoiler than can be controlled by the driver or deployed automatically. The model seems to be quite impressive in many terms as it is packed with sporty-bumpers, larger wheels and a quite an aggressive stance.
While the exhaust system of the car also comes with an upgrade as slightly upgraded exhaust system with dual exhausts tips (one on each side) as compared to a two-tip setup that was available on the earlier models. There is a noticeable thing that BMW didn’t got a very impressive sales record in India, so there might be quite more expectations for this model.
The BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo which is coming with a facelift had its motor show premiere at the Paris motor show 2016 last week, and now its is all set to have the sale started of this facelifted beauty from 19th September, 2016. As a whole package the version comes with features adaptive LED headlights, LED front fog lamps, revised outer air intakes, new LED tail lights with L-shape light graphics, redesigned rear apron and larger-diameter exhaust tailpipes.
While the interior has also been quite re-generated with high-gloss black surface and electroplated with chrome accent, which is being accompanied by latest version of navigation system professional infotainment system in the car. There is also a high-tech feature through which the rider can charge to connect their smartphone to the car without using any wire and all the things can be done wireless.
The version comes with Four new engines which have already been introduced, from which three petrol variants (320i, 330i and 340i) and five diesel variants (318d, 320d, 325d, 330d and 335d xDrive) are available now internationally. But in India only the 320d is available, and its 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine has been upgraded to deliver 140 kW (190 PS) and 400 Nm of torque with the facelift.
Despite the performance being upped, the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions (in EU test cycle) have been reduced by 13.8%. So the BMW seems to be quite ready and is putting all the efforts to boost the sales of BMW 3 Series in the India. BMW India has launched the 2016 3-Series facelift in the country with prices starting at Rs. 35.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
