Boko Haram Female Suicide Bombers kill 22 people at Nigerian Mosque

Two female bombers, on March 16, 2016 attacked a Nigerian mosque killing at least 22 people who were taking part in the morning prayers.

The mosque situated in Molai-Umarari village turned out to a blood river after the unexpected carnage. According to source from Civilian Self Defense vigilant group, one of the bombers detonated explosives inside the mosque, while the other lady blew her up on the exit through which people tried to escape.

State Emergency Management Agency confirmed the death of 22 people, and they made it clear that 17 injured people are being taken to hospital. As per hospital officials, 13 bodies have already been claimed for speedy burials to abide Muslim tradition.

Eye witnesses told API that everything happened in matter of few seconds, and soon the mosque filled with smoke and blood. Police believe that Boko Haram Islamic insurgents are behind this dreaded attack.

Nigeria is quickly emerging as the flourishing land of Islamic terrorism, as many suicide bombings have occured in the recent past. Earlier, on December 28, 2016, Boko Haram’s multiple suicide bombings has resulted in the death of 55 people.

The Umarari mosque is located in the outskirts of Maiduguri. Maidugiri is now the hottest target for Boko Haram terrorists, as the city is the is the military command center of the war against Insurgents.

Muhammadu Buhari, Nigerian President has claimed that the military has been so successful in expelling Boko Haram extremists out of all towns. To combat military moves, Boko Haram are continuing series of attacks and suicide bombings which is resulting in the death of many innocent people.
