The regular practice in Kerala is that the state education minister will announce the results. However, due to state elections on May 16 and the model code of conduct is in place, either the Kerala Chief Secretary or Education Secretary is expected to announce in the presence of officials from the higher education department.
In Kerala, Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) and Higher Secondary Exams (HSC) are given enormous importance.
In 2015, the Government had to face a lot of anger from people because they messed up the results wrongly.
Abdul Rabb, Kerala Education Minister, informed that his officials have taken extreme care to provide fool proof and error free results. He said that government has taken action against officials who are guilty of creating problems deliberately in 2015.
