Cruise passengers warn to turn off lights to avoid private attack

For 10 days passengers were trapped in the open sea without lights because of pirate threat. Passengers were warned to turn off the light and put out the music so that the pirate couldn’t hear them. There were about 1,900 passengers on a board going for a 104-day luxury world cruise.

Passengers paid more than 30,000 dollars for the Cruise name Sea Princess. It departed from Sydney and when the ship was passing through the Indian Ocean, the Arabian Sea, the Gulf of Aden and the Suez Canal, the Captain of the ship started to warn everyone, he announced that there is real pirate attack threat. Which encouraged the ship to go black out for 10 days.

Carolyne Jasinski, a passenger said that the captain of the ship Mr. Gennaro Arma told them that the threat was real and we all should prepare for the private attack. He also apologizes for fighting and alarming the passengers.

She also wrote in an account on news.com.au. that as the sun set all the shutters were down, curtain been drawn there was no light, no deck parties, can not take a deep in a pool, no deck parties, no movies under the star, there was nothing to do. The passengers were going nuts.

She wrote, “Passengers were sent back to their cabins so they could be counted… They were advised to sit on the floor and to hang on to hand rails in case the ship had to maneuver away from pirate ships.”

Many people are expressing their anger and wondering to get the refund. Hopefully, passenger enjoyed the remaining 94 days which would be enough to make it up to passenger inconvenience.

U.S and Other government agencies are daily advisings and warning tourist to travel with safety. The Sea Princess was also labeled “Notice concerning safety and security,” and it was specially mentioned in the contract that it is possible in some situations we have to sail without light.
