Huawei Honor 8 Launched In US, After China | Huawei Looks To Create A Bang With This One

The much awaited smartphone from Huawei Honor, Honor 8 has launched in US. The Honor 8 comes with a hefty price tag of $399(approx Rs 26,720). The handset was earlier launched in China, with three storage variants – one with 3GB RAM/32GB internal storage, 4GB RAM/32GB internal storage, and 4GB RAM/64GB internal storage. What makes the smartphone stand aside is its glossy body and the metal frame with curved edges.

In terms of Specifications, The New Honor 8 handset features a 2.5D glass 5.2-inch full-HD LTPS LCD 2560×1440 pixels resolution display with a pixel density of 423ppi. It is powered by a 2.3GHz octa-core Kirin 950 processor which is paired with 4GB of RAM. The smartphone is equipped with a 32GB of Internal storage that can also be expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The Handset supports Dual-SIM and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Company’s EMUI 4.1 on top.

The Honor 8 handset Features a dual primary 12-megapixel rear camera with a dual-tone LED flashlight, a f/2.2 aperture, and Laser AF. It also features an 8-megapixel secondary front camera with a f/2.4 aperture on board for best selfies and video calling. The handset comes with a fingerprint scanner, that is placed under the rear camera.

Coming to the connectivity options, the New Smartphone offers 4G LTE bands in India include 2G/3G, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, GPRS/ EDGE, 3.5mm Audio Jack, and Infrared sensor. IT is packed with a huge 3000mAh non-removable battery pack with fast charging 9V/2A power adapter. It offers a USB Type-C port and measures 145.5x71x7.4mm and weighs 153 grams.

Apart from Huawei Honor 8, the brand also launched two other flagship smartphones in China earlier this month – Honor V8 and Honor Note 8. No details regarding launch of these smartphones has been released yet, but we hope to see them soon in market. All of these smartphones will soon launch in India too.
