Hosts India will look ahead to find a chance to put things in place as they strike South Africa on October 8, 2015, at Eden Gardens, Kolkata for the 3rd and final T20 of the series. The match starts off at 7 pm local time.
Things haven’t been favorable for skipper Dhoni and co, mainly because they seemed to lack the will and attention that series demanded. As a result, visitors South Africa have sealed their fate in the series.
With the series lost, it remains to be seen what Dhoni can finally do to change things.
Indians had an awful series to say the least. While in the 1st T20 their bowlers messed up big time, things went even downhill in Cuttack, where the batting line sank at 92. No wonder, there are issues on both ends.
There is some bad news from Eden Gardens as the water from the overnight rain has not yet been completely dried from some parts of the ground.
According to the umpires, the next inspection is going to be at 7:30 p.m. Follow the live updates from the Stadium here.
TV Telecast and live streaming details:
Fans can watch the live streaming of Ind vs SA T20 on Star Sports official website here.
Star Sports will offer live TV telecast in India and Bangladesh. In South Africa, SuperSport will offer live telecast while PTV will offer the match live in Pakistan.
With players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma taking wrong calls on the field, this match offers some chances of redemption. Sharma has been lucky for Edens, and probably he is expecting some luck to brush off from the past.
South Africa is already on a high, but under no means they would want to lose here in Kolkata, given that the pitch will favor batsmen. They have AB de Villiers and Duminy to take the magic ahead.
Bowling will be a major factor here, and that’s where Dhoni might want to take a few chances. Barring Ravichandran Ashwin, none of the Indian bowlers have been useful so far.
Keeping the ODI series in mind, the Proteas will like to take a few chances probably with the selection.
