Festivals have a very important and crucial role to play in ones community or religion. A same important and loving festivities day of Muslims is Jamat-ul-Vida which is a very special occasion for this community. This holy festival is celebrated year on one day before the end of Ramzan’s month.
This day is dedicated to the reading of Quran the whole day which is combined with many special prayers with worship of almighty. The literal meaning of the expression Jummat-al-Wida derived from the word ‘Jamat Ul Vida’ is Good Wishes which is being given by the Holy book Quran.

This day is very unique in assuring the blessings of Allah in fully abundance. For celebrating this the Muslims gather at the mosque and engage themselves in scriptural reading, also with charity works, poor feeding and helping those who are really needy people. The importance of Jamat-ul-Vida ensues from the words of the Holy Prophet Mohammed who had greatly given the importance of Fridays in the community.
He states that Fridays are more important and blessed then the other days of the week as Allah will protect those who read Quran especially on Friday. It is said that an angel representative of God visits every mosque on this day to listen to the prayers given by the people who read it in the name of the almighty god.
According to the Islamic cultures and traditions of every Friday has becomes a special day and a major source of blessings and salvation of god. People celebrate this festival by reciting the Holy book Quran, special prayers and lots of social works in order to get blessings on this day is being done.
Many of Muslim community people get together to attend this special festival, which is the last prayer of the holy month of Ramzan. It is celebrated in the nearby mosques of the city by performing prayer for the peace, success and harmony of the whole world.
Muslim people believes that on this day an angel of the God visits the Mosque and listens to the Imam. People get reward if they go to the Mosque for their prayer in the early morning. Prophet Mohammad had also stated that Allah would forgive all the sins of that person who performs this Friday Namaaz regularly.
The peoples believe that their prayer at this day is surely and gets accepted by the God without any doubt. Many Tents are being organized all around the mosques for the relief of the such big crowd who comes to give their prayers . All the mosques are flooded with the lots religious devotees looking for the divine blessings.
