The latest released Malayalam movie Oppam become the highest grosser film at Kerala box office collection on the first week. The movie hit the theaters with good hype and attracts a good number of audience. This thriller film got impressive reviews from the audience and positive response from critics also.
Oppam breaks the records of Nivin Pauly’s Premium on opening week. After the first week on the movie, its total gross collection was Rs. 12.61 crore with the distributor’s share of Rs. 6 crores. The movie entered the Rs. 10 crore club in just 6 days. The movie received a great positive response from the audience.
This is the biggest and much awaited Malayalam movie which was released on 8th September 2016, Thursday on many big screens and it got the benefit of four days on its first weekend. The first-day collection of the movie was Rs. 1.56 crore on box office. The second-day collection was Rs. 1.77 crore which is more than the first day.
At the end of the first weekend, the total collection of the movie was Rs. 7.25 crore with the distributor’s share of Rs. 3.45 crore. The movie now getting tough competition from other big budget release movies this month which affects the collection of Oppam.
It is expected that the movie to collect around 16 crores after 9 days in worldwide box office. This crime thriller movie starring Mohanlal, Samuthirakani, Anusree, Vimala Raman, Nedumudi Venu, and Baby Meenakshi in lead roles. The movie is directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Antony Perumbavoor for Aashirvad Cinemas.
