Matt Damon Turned Down All The “Whitewashing” Controversies & Accusation For ‘The Great Wall’ At NYCC


Hollywood has prepared for something very great this time and it will go to be quite exceptional. The latest movie ‘The Great Wall’ which has recently released its trailer has become the center of a great buzz and after watching the trailer of the movie, one can seriously guess that the movie is going to be an entertaining one.

This time too the movie is having a very great buzz among the industry because of criticizing the movie for “Whitewashing” the character, the movie Great Wall is the very first of is kind English language movie from the very renown and legendary Chinese director Zhang Yimou and after having a multinational star cast on board, but still the movie has been labeled as offensive because of “white saviour” stereotyping.

But jokes apart the things got serious and Damon is not at all in a joking mood when things and statements arise for his movie. He later added that the movie is an entertainment and action filled which is being co-produced both by Chinese and US productions.

While the movie being an American-Chinese epic historical movie which is filled with the punch of Action-adventure but the most thrilling part of the movie is that this time there are no Human on the other side, there are Monsters which can easily eat you up if you don’t kill them. The movie ‘The Great Wall’ is being directed by Zhang Yimou and is having a long name list in the written credits namely  Tony Gilroy, Carlo Bernard, Doug Miro, Max Brooks, Edward Zwick, and Marshall Herskovitz.

This is what we can not see and all the behind the cameras cast, now comes to the guys who we are going to  see on-screen and the lead character of the movie is being played by Matt Damon as William Garin, Jing Tian as Commander Lin Mae, Pedro Pascal as Pero Tovar, Willem Dafoe, Andy Lau, Junkai Wang as The Emperor, Lu Han, Zhang Hanyu, Eddie Peng, Lin Gengxin, and many more.

The movie is all set to have the launch in China on 16 December 2016 by the Le Vision Entertainments while the movie will going to face the United States on 17th February 2017 by the Universal Pictures. While the basic plotting of the movie is about a battle from the humanity side by making an elite force which is standing on the top of The world’s biggest and longest Great Wall Of China.

The movie has actually got some very serious chills when it comes to the graphics and action sequences of the movie, but not every great thing come easily.
