Her father had left her and the world when she was 2 years old. He was a lawyer but he had never worked for money. Later her mother Vedavalli, gone to live with her father. Their Jayalalithaa’s mother’s sister become a caretaker of her when Vedavalli goes to earn livings.

Jayalalithaa was called as Ammu by the relatives and friends. She lives with her mother’s sister. Later on, her mother’s sister was married and Jayalalithaa’s mother came back to live with her. Her mother then supported her to get enter in the film industry. Jayalalithaa was a soft hearted person and in an interview, she shares that how much she miss her mother during the vacations.

She had started his acting career from Sri Shaila Mahathme as a kid. She had done many successful Tamil movies with RG Ramachandran such as Kumari Penn, Magarasi, Avalukku, Baghdad Perazhagi. Jayalalithaa also gets many awards as a successful actress.

In 1991, Jayalalithaa victory by the coalition. She became the youngest chief minister of Tamil Nadu and was elected to the position from 24th June 1991 to 12th May 1996.
