Toronto City Councillor Rob Ford has been treatment for cancer at Mount Sinai Hospital.
According to reports, Ford’s recent rounds of chemotherapy did not work. He remains under 24-hour medical supervision, CTV News reported.
Ford is continuing his fight against an aggressive form of cancer, which was diagnosed in 2014. Under the Panov program, Ford has been given a targeted chemotherapy at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Ford remained in the hospital this week, and doctors are determining if the 46-year-old former mayor is healthy enough for another round of treatment.
Ford, admitted to hospital in late February, is receiving treatment of soft-tissue cancer known as pleomorphic liposarcoma. He’s having several tumours on his bladder.
People and his colleagues are offering well-wishes for Ford and his family.
