Sully Movie Review Ratings Box Office Collection Public Response


‘Sully’ which is one of the most amazing movies which is being directed by Clint Eastwood and has been written by Todd Komarnicki, the movie is having a very great story which is about a US Airways flight 1594 and its most fortunate and responsible pilot Chesley Sullenberger also named as ‘Sully’. The movie is basically taken from an Autobiography which is being written by Sullenberger and Jeffrey Zaslow.


The movie is about a Biological Drama which is also co-produced by Clint Eastwood. Starring an amazing actor and the rest of the supporting actors are too amazing and impressive, the lead actor for the movie which has played the role of ‘Sully’ is Tom Hanks who is one of the most amazing and talented actors in the Hollywood and with his exceptionally talent ted acting he has made this movie row over all the movies in the Hollywood.

The movie is also having a great number of actors like Aaron Eckhart, Laura Linney, Anna Gunn, Autumn Reeser, Holt McCallany, Jamey Sheridan and Jerry Ferrara in supporting roles. The ‘SULLY’ movie has already been released at the 43rd Annual Telluride Film Festival on 2nd September and then the movie decided to release in the United States by Warner Bros, in conventional and IMAX theatres on 9th September 2016.

The story of the movie backs to January 15, 2009, when a veteran US Airways pilots Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger and First Officer Jeffery Skiles board US Airways Flight 1549 which is about to depart from LaGuardia Airport and will take off within minutes. The disaster didn’t take too much time and barely three minutes into the flight, disaster strikes, the Airbus A320 hits a flock of Canada Geese, which cripples both engines of the A320. Without engine power and no airport within range, Sully is forced to land this huge but ill-fated airliner in the frigid waters of the Hudson River while there was 155 passengers and crew on board. The movie is having a very great story and it has been appreciated by the critics and the audience too who have seen the trailer of the movie.

The movie is having a running time of 96 minutes and the budget of the movie was $60, Million. In the United States and Canada, Sully was released on Friday, September 9, 2016, across 3,525 theatres, of which 375 theatres` were in IMAX, and is projected to make $20–25 million in its opening weekend. Box office trackers are expecting Sully to launch in the same range as two titles: Hanks’ 2013 hostage drama Captain Phillips, which opened with $25.7 million, and the 2012 airline drama Flight, which debuted to $24.9 million.
