Toyota, the brand that is trying to help the environment by turning its most sold car Prius into a Green Car, the green model which is was launched almost a year earlier was not upto the mark as the sales of Hybrid Prius were dropping ever since. Hence, the brand has now planned to launch a new model of the hybrid next year as Prius the most sold hybrid of one time needs a little help in the sales department.
In a world where governments are urging everyone to go green and are promoting environment friendly initiatives, it is hard to understand why sales of the Toyota Prius has dropped so quickly. Even though after drop in sales Toyota comes up with Prius Prime 2017 as a solution to this problem, but will it prove to be effective or will it only be a publicity stunt, I guess we will have to find that out.
This new 2017 Prius Prime is however a bit different from that of the 2016 model because of the larger lithium-ion battery it has, which let the car run for up to 25 miles on electricity in one charge. Which, if we compare it to 2016 Prius is 10 miles more than the last model, after that it runs like a normal regular Prius which run on carbon fuels.
What makes this new Prius stand out is the changes made by the brand in its looks like it is almost 4.2 inches longer that the last Prius model and instead of the trademark Prius type headlights, this one sports stylish and premium bank of eight LED headlights. The front look of the car although reminds us of several concept cars from Toyota itself so it also looks a bit futuristic.
The Prius Prime plug-in also has a 11.6 inch touchscreen for audio and it also helps in controlling a bunch of other features. Except for the changes done on the outside, this new Prius comes with changed back seats as it comes fitted with a two seater seat in the back instead of the standard three seater. Except for the fact that it costs $3000 more than the last model, we love everything about this new model. This is it for now, stay tuned for more updates and interesting articles.
