Zika virus may be a health problem in Colorado.
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) has confirmed two cases of Zika virus, which spreads through mosquitoes.
According to the news reports, two patients, diagnosed with Zika virus, recently came to the U.S. from a Zika-affected country.
The good news is that both individuals have been recovered.
CDPHE says that there could be more Zika virus cases in Colorado in the coming year.
According to the health department, mosquitoes responsible for spearing the Zika virus don’t live in Colorado. But this virus can be spread by an infected man through sexual contact, CBS4 reports.
As we reported previously, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on last Friday issued an advice for people planning travel to the 2016 Summer Olympic Games and 2016 Paralympic Games in Brazil.
